About the webinar:

Inspired by the work of Paulo Freire (1921-1997), this presentation will highlight the importance of taking into consideration certain pedagogical practices such as critical, and transformative pedagogies within classrooms to meet the requirements of modern-day Kurdistan. The presentation also highlights the necessity of life skills to be taught within these pedagogical practices to address the current education gaps in the Region in developing responsible, healthy characters to excel in their own lives and be positive members of the community. This comes from the underlying concern that the education system does not educate for modern-day issues faced by children and young people in the Iraqi society.
